WE'VE WORKED WITH A NUMBER OF ORGANIZATIONS TO ENSURE THEIR GOALS WERE MET IN A UNIQUE AND MEMORABLE WAY.
Game Show Show
BC Seniors Games, Nelson BC
(group size - 200+ people) Performed purely as entertainment during the West Kootenays’ staging of this multi-sport event for over 55’s, this edition of the Game Show Show for over 200 people was our first in a theatre setting. After discussion with the organisers we were given licence to push the boundaries a little with this show. The audience responded with enthusiasm, energy and a wicked sense of adventure! We have it on good authority that one of the games got several favourable mentions at the closing ceremonies and has become the stuff of legend within the BC Seniors’ Games. |
Teck conference, Rossland BC
(group size - 70 people) The Game Show Show was performed as after dinner evening entertainment for this conference hosted by Teck. The audience was made up of Teck employees from across North America, with a handful from Chile. The show was a mix of our generic material with Teck inspired moments throughout, including singing the content of an unpublished document to the tunes of well known pop songs, much to the confusion of the author of the document who was in the audience. |
FortisBC, Trail BC
(group size - 25 people) Each year the FortisBC electrical engineering department, split between offices in Trail and Kelowna, has a get together. The event is a mix of reward, team building, education and discussion and the Game Show Show was brought in to provide a fun element to the team building portion. This daytime show was performed in the workplace and featured material exclusively related to Fortis, its service area and electricity in general. The teams mixed staff from different departments as well as management with non-management staff. |
Castlegar small business community Christmas party
(group size - 150 people) This annual event sees the small businesses of Castlegar, BC come together to have one large Christmas party. The Game Show Show was performed after dinner and focused on keeping the whole audience engaged, not just those who were brave enough to volunteer to come on stage. With a strong Christmas flavour to many of the games played and toys from Santa’s stocking for the participants this seasonal version of the show was a huge hit. |
Rossland Radio Co-Op fundraiser
(group size - 100 people) This is where it all started. Aimed at a ski-town, ski-bum audience these shows had a risqué, ‘anything goes’, R-rated feel. Promoted with the tagline “Bring your knowledge… leave your inhibitions at home” these original performances challenged the audience to be smart and daring while filling out answer sheets or completing some boundary pushing physical challenges. |
"All the participants loved the event. It was funny and interactive for the entire group. I would highly recommend the Game Show Show as a team building exercise for any group!"

Workshops
CBT CONNECT Youth Summit, Kimberley, BC
After performing the Game Show Show on the Friday evening of this event for 15 to 19 year olds, we provided workshops on Saturday as part of the weekend program. The Altitude team offered 3 workshops in DJing, improvisational comedy and Glee club song and dance. After the 2 hour workshops the participants brought their newfound skills to an evening stage show, performing to their fellow attendees. Altitude Entertainment also provided sound equipment and technical support for the whole weekend, as well as karaoke and DJing services after the stage show. |
FortisBC 'Engineer-in-Training' retreat Kelowna, BC
This workshop was used as a team building and icebreaking exercise as well as developing inter-personal and business skills through techniques, games, exercises and performance used in improv theatre Kootenay Assoc. of Science and Technology, Rossland, BC
Altitude Entertainment helped KAST review and solidify their strategic planning results in style. Through creative lyric writing, a little practice and some costuming flare, groups were singing their new mission and mandate in just over an hour. To the tune of Superstition or Satisfaction you would think this organization wrote the original versions they were so good. Look out Stevie Wonder! A business brain storming session was never so fun. |
"The members of Altitude Entertainment are great to work with, really supportive and helpful in creating a unique experience. I appreciate having the ability to customize an event to meet our needs and incorporate educational components. The Game Show Show has proven to be a favourite among all ages and I love how this form of interactive team building is not only great for existing teams but also as icebreakers for new teams"
