Remember that kid who was always first to put their hand up when someone on stage asked for a volunteer? Well that kid was Phil! Into adulthood his attraction to stages, microphones and the limelight never dissipated and has led him into the worlds of improv, game shows, puppeteering and MCing. Since 2009 Phil has been the writer and host of interactive, live game show “The Price Is Jeopardy Or No Deal Of Fortune”, performing to audiences across the Kootenay region. He has a love of improv theatre and has attended and performed at festivals in Canada as well across Europe, runs Rossland's 'Thousand Metre Theatre' improv group and teaches improv workshops for adults and youth. Phil has performed his own storytelling show 'The Campfire Chronicles' as well as puppeteering in Iron Mountain Theatre's puppet show musical 'G-Rated'. Phil has MC’d events including the Rossland Mountain Film Festival, Blizzard Festival, Huck En Berries bike event as well as announcing at house bouts for West Kootenay Roller Derby. |
Rupert
Rupert has over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, turning his hand to roles as diverse as singer, songwriter, performer, sound engineer, tour manager and DJ. As an artist in Australia Rupert released 6 full length albums, including producing his own gold selling album, as well as winning national awards for Best Live Act and Best Video and receiving nominations for two ARIA’s. Since his move to Canada in 2006 he has combined his work as a DJ and co-writer of musical theatre show “Electro Social Club” with co-ordinating entertainment events - providing sound, lights, decoration, promotion and marketing. Rupert is an avid mountain biker, skier and motor racing fan as well as an established karaoke entertainer. |
